Client / Event: Personal Project (Private Celebration)

Intro

When my partner graduated as a mature student, I wanted to celebrate the milestone in a way that truly honoured the achievement. The idea? A full-scale prom — the kind most of the guests had never experienced — to mark the occasion with style, fun, and a bit of nostalgia.

Challenge

Create a meaningful, inclusive event that felt special for an adult audience, balancing sentimentality with a polished, celebratory atmosphere — all within a realistic budget and short lead time.

What I Did

• Developed the overall event concept and theme

• Selected and booked the venue, coordinated talent, and sourced décor

• Designed and sent digital invitations, managed RSVPs, and created a guest list flow

• Built a timeline including music, the arrival of the guest of honour (without spoiling the surprise), and a photo corner to capture memories

• Oversaw every element of event setup and execution to ensure a seamless experience

Results & Impact

• Delivered a warm, joyful celebration that guests raved about and shared on socials

• Managed to stay on budget while still creating a polished, professional-feeling event

• Strengthened relationships and created a memorable, personal milestone for everyone involved
