CASE STUDY:

Artist-Created Can Collaboration —

Goodness Brewing x NOMOQ x London Craft Beer Festival

The Challenge:

We wanted to create a beer can that was more than packaging — something that blended artistry, technology, and flavour to surprise people and give artists a platform. The goal was to launch something visually striking at the London Craft Beer Festival that would both celebrate the beer and celebrate creative collaboration.

Where I came in:

  • Led the partnership with NOMOQ and London Craft Beer Festival, coordinating between creative teams, artists, and production.

  • Worked with two artists (Matt Martin and Benny Payne) to translate their artwork into can designs — including 3D / texture effects — ensuring the pieces kept the integrity of their mediums.

  • Oversaw the full design process from concept to print, making sure that the artwork, flavour profile (grapefruit & pineapple radler), and branding all aligned.

  • Coordinated the launch event (Mother Kelly’s Bethnal Green), organising artist interactions, audience experience, and promotion.

The Result:

  • Produced two limited-edition artist cans that stood out visually and were part of a memorable launch.

  • Strengthened brand positioning of Goodness Brewing as innovative, art-led, and community-orientated.

  • Generated increased visibility at the festival, media interest, and positive feedback for melding art + craft beer in a new way.

Collaborators:

This project was developed in partnership with my long-time design collaborator Hannah Reid, combining brand strategy and visual design to deliver a cohesive result.
